How Can I Get Involved?

The ZipForge is made up of contributions added by the users of ZipTie and other applications that utilize the ZipTie framework. The best way to get involved is to CONTRIBUTE the adapters and tools you develop or extend to the ZipForge.

Contributing is a simple process:

1. Join the ZipTie community by signing up on ziptie.org.
Once you are signed up there, you can login to the ZipForge as well (using the same credentials).

2. Click on the "Contribute Ziptie Adapter" or "Contribute ZipTie Tool" link in the left navigation bar.
This will take you to a a simple form that allows you to upload your adapter/tool. There are instructions on the form that explain the information required and how to package your adapter/tool for upload.

3. Keep an eye on your contribution.
When thousands of users begin to download and use your content to make their lives easier, they may have questions, find bugs, or want to send you a gift certificate to Applebee's. The comments section of each adapter/tool's page is the best place for this kind of feedback and it is the contributor's responsibility to keep an eye on the comments. You will get an email every time someone adds a comment to your content.

As the ZipTie community grows, so will the ZipForge. Over time, we will continue to add new features to the ZipForge. The needs of the community will drive these changes, so be vocal about what would help most in the ZipTie forums (http://www.ziptie.org/forum) or send an email to forge@ziptie.org.
